How We Use Artificial Intelligence

This policy details how Clarity Times uses artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies, and where their use is strictly prohibited. We believe readers have a fundamental right to know how their news and investigative analysis are produced.

Effective Date: October 2026 • Entity: Beeps Venture Technologies LLP

Permitted Uses of AI Tools

  • Document Ingestion and Research Assistance: Sifting through dense regulatory filings, legislative drafts, corporate disclosures, and court records to identify relevant sections. A named journalist always reads and verifies the original primary documents before any findings are reported.
  • Drafting Assistance and Copy Editing: Testing alternative headline structures, evaluating readability scores, and assisting with syntax suggestions. An editor reviews and rewrites all copy.
  • Audio Transcription and Language Translation: Generating preliminary transcripts of public press briefings and translating non-English government documents, which are subsequently verified against primary audio and source text.
  • Visual Provenance: Feature graphics and illustrations created with generative software are explicitly labeled in their caption and metadata. We never use AI to fabricate photorealistic news events.

Prohibited Uses and Ethical Red Lines

  • No Autonomous Publication: We never publish automated or unedited AI-generated text. Every article is written or reviewed, verified, and signed off by a human journalist and editor.
  • No Synthetic Sourcing: We strictly prohibit using AI tools to invent sources, fabricate quotes, synthesize witness statements, or generate misleading statistical data.
  • AI Output is Never a Source: A language model's response cannot serve as evidence or verification. Every factual statement must trace directly to a certified public record, official filing, or on-the-record interview.
  • Confidentiality and Source Protection: Our newsroom strictly forbids entering unpublished investigative drafts, whistleblower communications, or confidential source materials into commercial third-party AI models.

Editorial Accountability

The journalist named in the article byline and the editor credited under it are fully and legally accountable for its accuracy. Any errors arising from software or human review are rectified under our Corrections Policy and documented in our public Corrections Log.
